Hello everyone,

As you all know, maintaining a website isn't free. All of the administrators and officers do a lot of hard work in order to keep things running as smoothly as possible. Unfortunately the forum software and hosting is beyond our control and thus needs to be paid for.

When we started this new website the very generous camels (Artemus, Gannas, Darksteel, etc...) donated us the money for the software, hosting and domain. We carefully chose a good webhosting service and a forum that is cheaper in the long term. The majority of the costs are therefor dealt with.

Still we will need to keep the licenses and such in check and we would appreciate any and all donations from our members. Darkwind is a community for everyone however, and nobody is required to donate! However every dollar counts and even the smallest aid you can give will go a long way (we have over 300 registered members after all, BOTS INCLUDED!!).

We have set up a paypal account and you can donate by clicking the button on the left (if you're using the graphite theme) or by clicking THIS LINK.

Hehe No, I made bad experiences with PayPal when using Ebay. And I don't trust them, since they're running under U.S. laws solely, even when operating in Europe. So it is a mixture of paranoia and bad experiences

Hello all,

We are almost a year old now, and to congratulate us on this fantastic day, our website hosts have given us their bill.

We have downgraded our website type to make things a bit cheaper (removed the MSSQL server etc...) and we're hoping that some of you guys can help chip in to pay the costs!

So far we have:
+ ?14.22 on our paypal from last time
- ?85.54 for the hosting + domain name
- ?25.00 for a 6 month IPB license

That makes a total of ?96.32 that we need to gather.

Once again, every little bit helps, and with the amount of members we have even a single euro can help us out a lot.

That sucks, I woulda contributed (usually do) but the timing was bad, this close to Christmas there was no way an unemployed bum like me was gonna be able to help.

I coulda not said anthing, but I wanted to say sorry anyway.
