Hear Ye! Hear Ye!
Project 1999, a private EverQuest server, launched October 9th 2009, has seen the light of day. The dwellings of old and fond memories have come to be re-lived and re-experienced, by heroic men and frisky womens (and Zunn), in all of it's glory and can now bask in thee success it has already achieved...
Okay, enough of that shit...
EverQuest, Project 1999 has been aired and the Darkwind Community could not let this opportunity, of re-living the good old days, pass them by. We have established a guild on the server and have already invited over a dozen new old-timers from the original EverQuest I days.
In short, Project 1999 is all about EverQuest Classic and up till Velious. The creators will only implement these three expansions and do not intend releasing any more content than this. Game updates will be done in the same fashion it was done back in the day, following a specific timetable on when, what and where the Game Updates will appear.
We urge you to come back and get hooked once again, as it will suck you back in, violate the crap out of you and continue to do so till you beg for mercy and commit suic... a felony.

EverQuest I, Project 1999 - How To get Started!
Mind you, activation mails from the EQemu boards cannot be delivered to Hotmail and some other E-mail services. There have been a high rate of success in receiving the activation mail via Gmail. So if everything else fail, go create a Gmail account.

Well, no.
Thought about it some hours and decided to keep on slacking in RL / EVE and Drakensang II till RPoT hit the stores.
Been tempting hours tho..
