Darkwind is currently using EPGP for our loot contribution. This system can seem overwhelming until you get the hang of it.
Visit the EPGP website for additional information about the EPGP system: EPGP Documentation

HIGHLIGHTS AND OVERVIEW OF EPGP

A. Definition:
EPGP stands for an Event Points/Gear Points system. Our EPGP has three aspects to it. Each aspect will be explained in further details below.
Event Points (EP) and Gear Points (GP) are awarded to raid members during a raid.
Priority Rating (PR) is used to determine who gets loot and is based on the following formula: PR = EP / GP.
Decay and Penalty systems which can affect your EP and GP earned.

B. Abbreviations:
EP = Event Points (Awarded for Participation, sometimes called Effort Points)
GP = Gear Points (Loot Value)
PR = Priority Rating (Number used to determine who gets Loot)

EVENT POINTS (EP) AND GEAR POINTS (GP)

A. Event Points:
Your EP will continue to build as you raid more and more with the guild. Being ready to raid at the start time will earn you a set number of EP. Being in the raid from start to finish will also earn you a set number of EP. There will be no partial credit for attendance. Your EP goes down through being Penalized (see below) and through Decay (see below). All Event Points values will be listed on our site in its own section or can be checked in game at any time.

Event points are currently accumulated for the following things:
  • 100 EP - Showing up to a raid on time.
  • 100 EP - Staying to the end of the raid.
  • 100 EP - for every hour in the raid
  • 100 EP - for a progress boss and 25 EP for any other

B. Gear Points:
Gear Points are awarded for each item you receive based on its quality and level. Each item already has a set GP in the game. Your GP number will continuously go up as you accrue gear. GP will also be affected by Decay (see below), but not by Penalties.
The exact numbers and an explaination of how the math works can be found Here

LOOT PRIORITY & PRIORITY RATING (PR)

A. Overall Practice:
Loot Priority Rating (PR) is determined by dividing your current EP by your current GP. PR = EP/GP. This is the number that will determine who gets the loot when multiple people are interested in the item. Gear Points are awarded for each item you receive based on its quality and level. Each item already has a set GP in the game. Your GP number will continuously go up as you accrue gear. GP will also be affected by Decay (see below), but not by Penalties. All first time raiders start with a GP value of 100 until they receive an item. This is due to the way PR is calculated (PR = EP/GP). If you divide your EP value by 0 (no GP points) then you get a PR rating of 0 (for all practical purposes.) When you receive an item in game it will get added into the calculation of your new PR rating, which will now be lower. This gives other people who may be close to your PR rating a chance to also get loot during a raid.

REQUESTING GEAR DURING RAIDS

The UI of the EPGP Lootmaster will pop up after the boss kill. You will have the choice between Need Mainspec --> Greed Offspec --> Pass. The masterlooter will see the desicions of the raidmembers and hand out the loot based on their PR.
For more infos check Raid Policy . At the moment you will need a minimum of 500 EP to be allowed to bid on an item. For new members that recently joined it means that they have to raid atleast 1 night with us before they can roll on an item!

Offspec items will cost 10% of the normal price. Thats to ensure that members take also OS items since they may be forced to use it during the raid.

DECAY & PENALTY SYSTEM

A. Decay System
The Decay System is designed to be a gradual decay over time of your EP and GP points. This is to prevent DKP hording. Our current decay system will be 10%. EP and GP points will slowly decay at a rate of 10% in 7 days. The decay will start every wednesday after the raid.

B. Penalty System
The Penalty System is designed to punish people for unacceptable behavior. The following penalties will be enforced by the Raid Leader:
  • -200 EP penalty for signing up for a raid but not showing up. This penalty will not be enforced if you notify the raid leader before the raid takes place or find a suitable replacement for your class function.
  • -100 EP if you leave during a Raid for any reason other than an unavoidable problem.
  • - 50 EP If you go AFK for a long period of time (more than 10 minutes) without letting the raid leader know.
  • - 25 EP if you are not prepared (flask etc.) when we pull.

PROGRESSION

A. Boss attempts
Any progress boss that a raid encounters and does not kill will receive 25% of the bosses EP value per attempt. This will max out at 3 attempts for a total of 75% so 25 EP for each try. If the boss is eventually killed then everyone gets the full value of that boss. There is no stacking of EP earned from attempting AND killing.
