- Welcome Message
Darkwind started raiding on Phinny server for 71 days ago. Average raid numbers are….44
Before I go on with this wonderful story of heroic deeds and sordid sexual encounters. I need to point out that some players who had quit Ragefire or just gotten bored decided to try Phinny and for me these guys are the heart and soul of what Darkwind has come to be on both servers. They have added to an already talented and great team of players that finished Velious while these guys were levelling up and they have fitted in very well to the team here: Edrix, Birkoff, Gusta, Alexsan, Aeth etc [sure I forgot others] Thank you for making it easy for me to settle on the server. Darkwind is on two servers but we remain a united family always putting the guild as a collective first and staying true to what it means to play in Darkwind for the last 20 odd years.
So Luclin hits, we wake up its all broken. No SSRA to raid shock horror content released broken, what a surprise!! Thankfully this isn’t Ragefire at start of Velious and it doesn’t take over a month to be fixed…
24 hours later after some amazing fun and excitement Darkwind is Seru keyed. 2nd on server. The teamwork and coordination behind this was great and shows how less can do more. Anyway lets get back on track. We call Seru that night clear up prep the encounter which we all know is pretty simple and fucking Birkoff goes and wipes us. I mean Jesus Christ Birkoff you caused the only wipe on any raid I have lead in Darkwind on Phinny. Instead of a glory shot of me degrading Birkoff’s corpse I will leave you with this.
Since the start of Luclin Seru has died 5 times to DW. We have dominated moving on this encounter down to the hard work put in by the members.
Onto the real content of the expansion. Our aim was to not be the last ‘major’ guild to clear content in Luclin like in Velious. On the opening SSRA raid I took us on a wonderful trip to see some big and interesting snakes… For once Eveil kept his one eyed snake under wraps meaning the women of the guild could focus on more interesting things than defending his awkward advances. ‘Black lives matter’
Despite being new the content is pretty underwhelming in terms of challenges but that was to be expected when mobs don’t repop in instances…trivializing the shit out of a couple of fights. Arch Lich is defiantly the hardest encounter in the zone bar Emp himself. So as you can guess day 1 of ssra resulted in us killing everything bar Emp + Cursed which we did not attempt.
On the 10/3/16 we went back to SSRA and cleared Emp. 4th on server that’s right fucking 4th.This raid did actually feel epic. We struggled with the adds at first and I wanted to call it off but I was convinced not to and we executed a very exciting and dramatic fight that made him hit the floor first time. I won’t lie my opinions on a lot of people changed during the process of this fight watching members perform as well as any I have seen, so this an absolute pleasure to be involved in. [looking for a kill image from any member still please]
As to be expected Daybreak were not through with fucking us over and denied us our rifts due to a loot lockout bug. I could live with this but it meant we had to wait a whole week to get them back. While it gave us time to farm shards it was a joke at the customer service. Devs disagreeing with gms and so on. Sort yourselves out.
Darkwind then became the 3rd guild on server to finish the expansion and 1st euro guild. A huge result for a team that has never once filled its raids even with all the boxes we can run.
Anyone who has ever worn the ‘Darkwind’ tag deserves to be proud of this.
Ever wondered what Darkwind got up to originally when Luclin was released way back when? Take a look: http://www.darkwind-gaming.com/eqhistory.html

Darkwind has momentum
Shocking as it may seem to some on Phinny but Darkwind has truly arrived on the server. After smashing Vulak we focused as a guild to gear up for Luclin as fast as we could. To that end we steam rolled all of the remaining content left to us in instances. We now only have Tunare left in our way.
The guild is thriving. We don't zerg or use mage exploits but then again we don't really need to either, I mean, we do have some of the best set of players on the server, and if history has ever taught us anything; it's that Darkwind always rises to the top, just check our previous endeavours into EverQuest, we have the luxury of having a history .
Just to say we had done it, we went and cleared Sleeper Tomb, Yelniak and Dain.
Imagine you can do entire Sleeper Tomb with 2 clerics. Something got hit hard with the nerf bat...
A few of the loots:
Darkwind is running around with a maximum of 55 players in raids. Sure we are small but even we manage some open world content despite other guilds constantly training us. Luckily we set up the 'Dream Team' Hybrid players who focus simply on keeping trains away from the raid. They know who they are and we thank them for their continued service.
If you want to join a guild with a huge exciting history on the AB server and an exciting one coming from Ragefire then look no further. Many of us have played together for over 15 years and if you want to be part of that, check out informations >>HERE<< !!

Finally the time came when we decided to have a go at Vulak.
We went into NToV Sunday to clear left side and Lady Nev, leaving Lord Feshlak and Lord Kreizann up for Monday's go at Vulak.
When we entered NToV Monday, Lord Feshlak had decided not to show up. But we still had Lord Kreizann to spawn Vulak.
After we sacrificed a few tanks to the loot god, it finally happened and Alex, who more or less made it from level 1-60 in one week, stole the yellow spam text!
With a force of 41 people and 8 boxed toons, we got the challenge we came for.
And finally the new toys!
Darkwind on Phinigel is still looking for more people to join our ranks.
If you would like to know more about the guild, information can be found >HERE<

Attachment(s) Ragefire - Vulak Charmed by Troll, More Dragons Die
Darkwind has been busy on Ragefire, killing dragons and upgrading our wardrobes. Luclin is coming so we have to get ready. Nuggella tried a bold new fashion statement while we were killing Vulak, but we thought the D-cups should stay on her chest so thankfully she put them back for the next target. Vulak seemed to like it though because she kept getting hit on.
We like killing dragons so much we even went back and did Severilous with 13 and Faydedar with 11
Come play with us, it's a blast - we keep kicking ass and taking names from the denizens of Norrath

Attachment(s) Ragefire - Sleeper's Tomb dies to 22 (ok, 23)
We went into ST for fun the other day with 22 and took down a golem and a bunch of dragons, culminating in this fight here. After a long grueling battle, and Jahva showing up to add his massive DPS at 50%, Darkwind succeeded! We have a great team of skilled players that do amazing things. Kudos Darkwind Team!

We decided it was time to do a small update on how Darkwind was doing on Phinigel.
In the middle of the summer, while alot was out enjoying the weather (catching Pokemon's), we decided to start Darkwind on Phinigel.
39 years old playing pokemon, running around like an idiot. But i like it!
We laid down a goal. We wanted to get as much Hall of Testing Armour and Epics done before the 2. August. At this point we would start raiding bigger targets.
The first few weeks we managed to get alot of minor targets down for epics for both new people and the Ragefire people who joined us here on Phinigel.
Then we started farming Halls of Testing for Skyshrine Armour for those who still needed.
Thinking that would be enough for the people of Darkwind may have been a misunderstanding.
It did not take long before Epics was done and most was in their shiny SS armour seeking out bigger challenges.
At this point we started to look at Open world targets and Instanced Kael/WW/DN, especially ST-key droppers.
Managed to slay Vindi, King T and Statue with 28 members in Instance the first time and Vindi and Statue in Open world with 25 people.
This made us even more hungry for harder targets and we moved on to ToV bosses. Where we slayed Dozekar for the first time on Phinigel Sunday 31st of July.
The first of August was a happy surprice. Alot returned from holidays and Pokamon. For the first time this summer we had what looked like a decent raidforce.
This called for a challenge! We started with Klandicar Open World to get yet another ST-key.
Then we moved to EJ to get a Green Scale for our warrior (Who now has epic, Grats Nedtur).
And finally we decided there was time to test out North Temple of Veeshan. This ment the death of Ikatiar the Venom, Eashen of the Sky and finally Aaryonar!

Do you have what it takes? Here in Darkwind Velious has been on farm mode for a long time. We rarely visit Kunark or anywhere outside of Velious bar Fear.
So we decided to change it up a bit. We wanted to give our members something fun to do as a team in their spare time that showcases how good they can be. So we are in the process of setting up Challanges for everyone.
All guilds/servers are welcome to take part in this and lets see if you really are as good as you say you are?
Team Gnomemafia did:
Sev with less than 2 groups. Well its been done with 11. Can it be done with less? Lets find out! More will be posted about the challenges we are throwing out to players. Stay tuned!!
